Panning an international vacation can be quite a daunting task, but it doesn’t have to be. The key word being “PLAN”. I usually use google flights to get a general idea of what the prices will be for the dates I want to travel
Most people know that you get the best prices when you purchase in advance. As a rule of thumb, the best international flight prices can usually be obtained about 90 days in advance.
The only airline (as far as I’m aware) that offers a direct flight to The Philippines is Philippine AirLines. They offer (before covid) direct flights from Los Angeles (LAX) and San Francisco (SFO) to Manila (MNL). There was also a direct flight from LAX to Cebu (CEB). But this is not the most economical.
Since I live in Texas, LAX or SFO is usually not the best choice for me. And by the time I factor in the a 3 hour drive and parking in Houston (IAH) or Dallas (DFW) I think I am better off just to fly out of the regional airport.
I did once find a great deal from LAX to MNL on China Eastern was about $450 round trip per seat. I used Delta miles for the round trip from Austin AUS to LAX.
